Boston Bus Terms & Conditions:

General Reservation Terms and Conditions

Passenger and Luggage Limits: Each vehicle has a maximum passenger limit and luggage capacity based on the safety and comfort specifications of the manufacturer and state authorities. Please adhere to these limits to ensure a safe and comfortable journey.

Rental Period: A minimum rental period of three hours is required. For rentals under three hours, the charge will still be equivalent to the three-hour rate.

Toll Taxes: As per Airport Authority rules, a two-way toll is charged for airport pick-up or drop-off services through Logan Airport. Other tolls on specific routes are factored into our fare calculator. Non-airport tolls are included in our regular fare.

Weather and Security Cancellations: In cases of severe weather conditions like snowstorms, where service is impractical, we may cancel and fully refund your booking. Services may also be canceled due to security issues (serious national emergencies), with full refunds issued.

Long-Distance Services: For long-distance services, toll charges and parking fees may vary based on the preferred routes and activities. Additional charges will be payable in cash to the driver or via credit card after the service.

Holiday Surcharge: An additional holiday surcharge of $50 will be applied on public holidays.

Gratuity: A 20% gratuity is added to all services.

Night Charges: An additional $10 will be levied for services between 20:00 and 05:00 as night charges.

Cancellation and Modification Terms and Conditions

Cancellation Rules: Reservations can be canceled via email with booking details at least 72 hours before the service time. Phone cancellations are not accepted.

Cancellation Policy:

  • 72-hour notice is required for cancellations. If the vehicle is already on its way for out-of-town pickups, the full charge applies; otherwise, only 20% is charged.
  • For VAN reservations (up to 8 passengers), a 72-hour advance cancellation notice is required, or the full balance is due.
  • For Van and Buses (excluding Proms & Weddings), a 7-day advance cancellation notice is required, or the full balance is due.

Proms and Weddings:

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for all Prom and Wedding reservations.
  • Balances must be paid in full two weeks prior to the event via cash, check, or money order. Failure to pay will result in automatic cancellation without notice.
  • Cancellations must be made two weeks prior to the event date, or the full balance is due.

 

Wait Time Terms and Conditions

Airport Pick-Ups:

  • Non-Airport Pick-Ups: After a 15-minute grace period, waiting time charges apply.
  • Domestic Arrivals: After a 30-minute grace period, waiting time charges apply.
  • International Arrivals: After a 60-minute grace period, waiting time charges apply.

Wait Time Charges:

Wait time charges are $150 per hour for Van/Bus after the grace period has elapsed.

 

Responsible Usage Policy

  • The client assumes full financial liability for any damage to the bus/van caused during the rental period by them or any members of their party.
  • A sanitation fee of $250 is charged for smoking, vomiting, or trashing the vehicle.
  • Damages to TVs, radios, or DVD players caused during the rental period will incur a minimum fee of $400.
  • Standing through the sunroof is illegal.
  • Smoking is prohibited in all vehicles.
  • Drug use is illegal and will result in immediate termination of the ride without refunds. Fines and legal fees resulting from drug use will be the customer’s responsibility.
  • The driver has the right to terminate the service without a refund for blatant indiscretion by the client(s).
  • The company is not liable for mechanical breakdowns. We will provide a similar or upgraded vehicle or arrange for a make-up service at a mutually agreed date.
  • Overtime pay applies after the first 10 minutes of the prearranged time, depending on the vehicle’s hourly rate.
  • We are not responsible for delays or terminations due to unsafe winter road conditions.
  • We are not responsible for articles left in the vehicle.
  • Balances must be paid in full before the service. Credit card payments are charged 24 hours before the service date. Cash payments must be made in full to the driver before the service. Checks must be paid in full two weeks before the service date.
  • It is illegal to load vehicles beyond seating capacity.
  • For outstation travel (over 25 miles from the origin city), fuel surcharges and overtime drive charges may apply, based on the distance traveled and delays involved.
  • For larger vehicles (over 7 passengers), cancellations and modifications are not allowed within 72 hours of the service time. If canceled within 72 hours, no refunds are provided. A 50% refund of the total service fee is available for cancellations/modifications made more than 72 hours in advance.
